TRAINING PHILOSOPHY

An objective of the Jane Fonda Center is to support the development of healthy adolescents by providing education and training to those dedicated to working with youth. By giving people up-to-date knowledge and skills, the Center can help shape community attitudes and actions in a positive way.

TRAINING SCOPE

Education and training programs are wide-ranging and varied, focusing on topics such as:

  • training facilitators to teach self-empowerment and parenting skills
  • providing physicians and other medical providers with the skills to offer reproductive health services to adolescents
  • providing physicians and nurse practitioners with the skills to diagnose and treat physical and sexual abuse
  • training teachers and other school personnel to provide abstinence and media literacy education to young people
  • providing education to youth service providers on how poverty affects adolescents and their families

Some of the training events offered by the Jane Fonda Center are open to registration and others are especially designed for organizations and groups requesting our services.
